Intercom

Introducing our new space—INTERCOM

Itercom was created as an extension of the MUTAN MONKEY project with the goal of establishing a small experimental laboratory focused on production and collective learning, exploring the intersections between DIY electronics, digital fabrication, recycling, hacking, and cassette duplication, among other things…

Itercom offers a space for exchange and experimentation between people and technology, encouraging the creation of prototypes, effects pedals, synthesizers, and unidentified sound objects.

The name comes from the idea of intercommunication: currently, it is comprised of OVNO, EVIDENTI, and MUTAN within the shared space “El NUS,” alongside other artists in the beautiful Horta neighborhood.

In an era of digital hyperconnectivity, Itercom revives the value of close, tangible, material, and local communication.

Through hands-on creation and the sharing of knowledge, Itercom builds bridges between generations, disciplines, and technologies, fostering a community where people learn by doing and communicate through creation.

INTERCOM is comprised of:

Evidenti

Taking a playful and experimental approach, and under the alias Evidenti, Jonatan Arasa compulsively builds synthesizers, pedals, and sound devices. At the same time, under the name Kalamar Flesh, he documents the lo-fi landscapes he imagines. His practice is characterized by curiosity and a fascination with imperfections, noise, and error, positioning him as an explorer of DIY electronics who turns the act of creating into a necessity rather than a choice.

OVNO

We manufacture handmade electronic and electroacoustic equipment for passionate experimenters. Everything is developed, designed, and assembled at our headquarters in Barcelona, at Mutan-Lab and Intercom
Intercom is home to OVNO’s new manufacturing facility, allowing us to explore further and expand our product range.

MUTAN MONKEY

Founded in Barcelona in 2015, with the goal of offering and promoting the use of electronic musical instruments.
